Don’t preach to me!

I don’t mind fellow members of the human race believing in religions, nor do I mind if they try and inform me of these religions. What I do mind is when a prat not only uses his position to promote ill informed nonsence, he then goes on to abuse me and those like me.

I’m talking of The Very Reverend Gordon Mursell, and the fact he compares those like me to Josef Fritzl

The Bishop of Stafford, Gordon Mursell, said that by failing to face up to the truth about climate change, we were – like Josef Fritzl – denying our children a future.

He stressed that he was not accusing those who do nothing about global warming of being child abusers, but said that shocking analogies were needed to force people to face up to the threat to the future of mankind. more here

I’m trying not to take this out of context, but if the idiot didn’t mean to accuse us of being paedophiles then he should of chosen his words more carefully and never made the comparison – however flimsy it may have been. He is after all supposed to be well educated. But no, he spouts on about a subject that many scientist (the brave ones) believe is utter nonsence. GLOBAL WARMING! Has he ever studied the many opinions that refute the claims. I very much doubt it because if he had he wouldn’t get involved. Or would he, after all religion isn’t based on hard facts is it?
